That First Warm Day When Everyone Texts “You Riding?”
It happens every year.
One warm weekend shows up out of nowhere and your phone lights up:
“You riding?”
Trailers come out. Group texts start. Plans form fast. Some riders are heading to places like Red River Gorge, Wildcat Offroad Park, or Black Mountain Offroad Adventure Area.
Others are just meeting friends at their local trails. Either way, riding season just started.
The only question is whether your machine is ready.

From Storage to Send It
Winter storage is great for your schedule, but not always great for your UTV. Months of sitting can create small problems that only show up once you’re already on the trail.
Before that first ride, do your usual quick once-over.
-Check your battery and fluids. Batteries drain over winter, and fluids settle. A quick check now saves a lot of frustration later.
-Look at tires and suspension next. Cold temperatures drop tire pressure and hide wear. Spring trails bring mud, ruts, rocks, and terrain your machine hasn’t seen in months.
-Give your belt and drivetrain a quick inspection too. Sitting can be just as tough as riding.
Then there’s the part many riders think about after their first ride of the year: cab protection.
Spring riding is unpredictable. Cold mornings turn into warm afternoons. Rain shows up without warning. Trail spray finds its way everywhere.
This is the time of year many riders decide they’re done arriving home soaked and muddy.

A little prep now prevents big headaches later.
Because That Text Is Coming
The first warm weekend never gives much warning. It turns into a last-minute ride or an all-day adventure.
The riders who enjoy it most are the ones who were ready before the text came in.
So when your phone lights up with “You riding?”
You can answer:
Already loaded up.
